The multi-boson production measurements using ATLAS pp collisions at √s = 7/8 TeV offer a good opportunity to study the high energy behavior of electroweak interactions in the Standard Model (SM). The measurements not only verify the SM theory but also aim for new physics search by probing the triple/quartic gauge-boson vertices through the search for anomalous couplings. Besides, the SM multi-boson productions are the irreducible backgrounds of dibosons produced by the decays of Higgs and other extra resonances induced by new physics beyond SM.
This seminar presents two major hotspots in ATLAS experiments all across Run-I to Run-II including both the SM multi-boson production cross section precision measurements with outstanding selected topics to be presented as well as the new physics search in Z+photon final states, which provide an independent investiation and cross-reference for the 750GeV gammggamma excess which has been expecting similar topologies showing up in Zgamma final state.
