Dual phase noble liquid + vapor detector techniques for Dark Matter searches are well known. The CLEAN program, instead, explores the application of single phase noble liquid scintillators (LAr and LNe) to both Dark Matter searches and low energy neutrino detection. The discrimination between nuclear recoils and other events is accomplished by pulse shape discrimination. MiniCLEAN with 500 kg of LAr, is the current phase of this program. The detector, installed in SNOLab's Cube Hall at a depth of 6800' of rock, is currently being tested in preparation for commissioning.
