In the past decade, due primarily to the spectacular performance of the two asymmetric B-factories and aided by weak matrix elements calculations on the lattice, a milestone in our understanding of CP violation was attained. This culminated in the nobel prize to Kabayashi and Maskawa. More recently with even better experimental data and improved lattice results, tantalizing deviations from the SM-CKM paradigm have started to surface in B-decays. Latest results from lhcB ON CP VIOLQTION IN D^0 DECAYS to K^+ K^-, pi^+ pi^- is adding to this excitement. I'll review these and other indications of new physics in the flavor sector and their prospects for confirmation in the near future.
