I will talk about how to publish your work in Nature journals, with a special focus on Nature Communications. By the end of the talk, I hope you will appreciate the key editorial differences between Nature journals, better understand what Nature journal editors look for, have a better idea how to write a paper for a Nature journal, understand how editors make decisions, and appreciate some of the benefits of Open Access.
Wei Fan joined Nature Communications in September 2015. He obtained his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the Chinese Academy of Science in 2009. He studied electron transport in low dimensional semiconducting materials. After a short stay in University of Bremen, he then moved to RIKEN in Japan for postdoctoral research. During that time, he used theoretical and numerical methods to study the interplay between spin orbit coupling, electron correlation and long range orders in strongly correlated materials. He handles manuscripts mainly in research areas of condensed matter physics.
