I will report some of my recent works on the discussions of light-flavor resonances and heavy-light scalar charm mesons from the chiral effective field theory calculation. The Nc trajectories of the resonance poles will be paid special attention to. I will demonstrate that it is useful to distinguish different types of hadrons by focusing on their Nc behaviors.  The pole trajectories with varying mpi will be also discussed for the scalar charm mesons, which may shed light on the future lattice simulation.
