In a variety of dark matter models, Higgs bosons plays an important role in two ways. They could mediate interactions between DM and nucleons or DM could itself be a Higgs boson. As an example, we consider the singlet extension of the two-Higgs-doublet model. Via such a 2HDM portal, DM could interact with nucleon with maximal isospin violation and thus lead to a suppressed cross section below the present LUX limits. while producing a correct relic density. Non-SM-like Higgs bosons in this model might be discovered during LHC Run 2 due to the fact that their masses and couplings are strongly restricted.
