Droplet-based microfluidics technology allows for the production and manipulation of highly monodisperse microdroplets of fluids, with a high degree of control and reproducibility. The prospects offered by droplet-based microfluidics are numerous and concern many fields in biology, physics and chemistry. Three applications will be presented. 1.Highly sensitive and quantitative detection of DNA mutations.
2. Formation and control of monodisperse LCs droplets driven by an alternating current electric field.
3. Real-time detection and analysis of whispering gallery mode resonances in fast flowing and steady monodisperse microdroplets .
