On the standpoint of the macro world, micro world, and nano world, the physical world is seen with different scale focuses and known better. As the development of perceptions and techniques from nanometer scale, nanoscience and nanotechnology draw increasing attentions with emerging of potential creations and new knowledges.
In this talk, a landscape of nanoscience and nanotechnology will be introduced and a short list of nano effects revealed by my research group will be reported, including nano phase segregation effect, nano effect of electron transferring, nano effect of growth by dangling bonds, nano effect of lowering thermal conductivity in nano-air gaps, nano effect of particles adsorption and desorption to/from a surface, probable theory of phase conversion. Moreover, some inventions of nanotechnologies in the lab would be presented, such as nanowelding, multi-channelled carbon nanotube field effect transistors, asymmetry schlocky barrier carbon nanotube solar cells, carbon nanotube gas sensors, nanofilm bulk acoustic resonators, spiky Ni nanowires, for advanced applications in the fields of advanced materials, nanoelectronics, energy harvesting, nanomedicine, environments and biology technologies.
